FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) is like it sounds. Accumulate so many resources that you can retire before the normal retirement age. Others have just called it “FU” money. It doesn’t take a genius to recognize that. The issue is always how to get the resources. The FIRE community also discusses taxes, healthcare, the 4% rule, Monte Carlo simulations and more.

Maybe this isn’t achievable for everyone but focusing on accumulating assets is still helpful. I have provided links to certain Reddit subs. Sometimes, you will see people commenting who have huge salaries/big inheritance and maybe you can’t relate to their situations. Everyone is different. Don’t be discouraged. Just take whatever useful information you can and apply it to your situation. 

Mark Twain said, “Comparison is the death of joy.” Remember in life you are only competing against yourself. Do the best you can do. That is all that can be hoped for.
